Need help getting discharge from Marines DEP?

I entered the DEP about8 months ago, and I was supposed to ship october the 25th of this year. The only thing is, literally a week before my ship date they changed my contract from Intel to infantry....I decided It would be better for me to not go forward with the Marines and pursue other things. I told my recruiter this and I asked to be discharged from the DEP. He said okay, and I haven't talked to him since. I was told by a marine buddy of mine who is a recruiter that discharge papers (which I need to start talking to other branch's recruiters) will be sent to me a month after my ship date. Well now its almost two months, and I'm starting to wonder where my papers are. I am 20 years old, and will turn 21 in August, and with school and work I have many things going on that depend on my decision with the military, so I kind of want to get this process sped up before its too late. If anyone could help me out that would be awesome. Thanks
