Husband thinks teen daughter should have privacy?

I have a 14 year old step-daughter who in my opinion is getting out of "control". She has this boy she talks to and is starting to try and dress inappropriate. My husband and I are disagreeing majorly. He thinks that I am invading her privacy by looking through her draws,(and finding thongs), reading her text messages,(and finding vulgar ual language), and seeing her myspace account with revealing pictures. How can I get my husband to understand her privacy means nothing. She is a teenager about to become a statistic.Or better yet how can I get him to see halter tops are not for kids.
